Default Tpms

Hello All! Recently purchased 2011 Ram and got rid of the stock 17" wheels and bought a set of 2009 20" wheels. Didn't know about the TPMS and now light is stuck on. Where can I get new TPMS for my vehicle besides dealership, they quoted me $80 each. Include part number if you have it. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the Z. No chance of getting the sending units off the old wheels I suppose? Other than the dealer I really don't know where to get them.

We have a lot of forums for all kinds of topics, so you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to post questions.

We LOVE pics of Rams.

Here's how to post them: http://www.ramforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73

Check with your local tire and wheels shops, TireRack.com and maybe America's Tire Company.

just type in your vehicle, prices are good compared to dealer prices
also ebay sellers have them, everyone seems to be buying the orange ones

The sensors are manufactured by International companies such as Schrader, Siemens, TRW, Pacific, Lear and others. There is no common technical standard for the sensors and the OE's and suppliers have generated a multitude of sensor designs

Thanks GTyankee and others. It looks like I can get them from TPMS wholesalers for half the price the dealership quoted me. Can any reputable tire manufacture (ie Discount Tire) install them or does the dealership have to do it and reprogram. You guys rock!

Got mine from Discount Tire. I think they were $40 each? and they didn't charge much at all to install them.
