Just wanted to update this.....For the heck of it, I've run 3 tanks of 89 through the truck now, rather than the 87 I usually run. I'm not seeing any difference in mileage. All three tanks have EVIC'd at 18.8-19.0 mpg, which is around what I've been getting in this cold weather with 87.

Now I will say that the truck does seem to run a bit smoother, but I could just be wanting to see a difference. I realize that it's only around a $2.50 difference per tank, but with no appreciable benefits.....I'll keep it.

I would like to, but with that being said I don't think there is any reason to with no benefits actually being seen.

Thanks for that input.

I'm a terrible led foot driver. I was getting 16mpg on a 4 cylinder that most would get 25+ in.

In my 2010 4x2 quad with 2900 miles I am yet to do better than 12mpg combined.

Be carefull guys are not reporting what the dash is reading. Yeah, using that I I've been able to do 22mpg on a given drive.. perhaps downhill with the wind to my back and no traffic.

I figured with my led foot I might as well might as well have the engine.

Side note, I am now considering upgrading tires from 275/60/20 to 305/55/20 .. and wondering how bad that will hurt mpgs. Frankly I think there must base where it can't get much worse.

I'm yet to do an oil change and hear It might improve around 3500 to 5000 mile mark.

Yeah going from 275 to 305, I dont think you will see a huge difference...I did that upgrade on my old truck and didn't see hardly any difference in mileage. More or less I saw the difference in power due to bigger tire.

I worried about the mpg's when I first bought this truck but once I saw that it's getting the same mpg's as my previous truck I quite paying attention to it.....When the needle get close to the E I just put more gas and don't worry about it.

So far on my first two tanks I have averaged 15.5, I was thinking it would be better since my 04 Hemi with 3.92's averaged between 16.5 and 17.5. I'm hoping it gets better. I'm taking a lil road trip this weekend so I'll be checking it again.
