If you want real good sound you need to spen a decent chunk of money. I would not buy polk they make a great home speaker but I have blown 3 sets with only 60 watts per channel, they were rated at over 200 watts rms. I have had great luck with infinity kappa series three way 6X9's used the same amp and they made super bass and were screaming loud. I had over $4000 in a system in an old 80 ramcharger with two 6X9 polks and two 15 inch subs in sealed enclosures and two amps. There was some much deep bass that the hair on the back of my neck would stand up. biggest thing to rember, get speakers and amp that match rms. then have to decide how much bass and how deep of bass you want. head unit does not make much difference if you go with pre amp outs.
