Default new for 09-10 ram sway bars - addco

i called them addco because i couldnt find the part # for the rear sway bar its 2427 @ $144. 1" thick. the front sway bar is 2256 @ $200. its 1 1/2" thick since its so new the parts must be ordered though addco for right now- there # and contact is john 1800 338-7015. you can buy the front sway bar from summit but they dont have the rear yet its so new. theres a write up in the new trucken mag. made a big diff on the way the truck handles.

On my old Silverado, I used all urethane bushings on the OEM front bar/links and added an aftermarket rear w/urethane bushings,,, (might have been Addco,,,) It REALLY tightened up the 'body roll' on cornering,,,

But for almost every mod there can be a give and take,,,

As the overall suspension was 'stiffer', so was the ride.

Not bad, but chuck-holes and bumps were a little rougher,,,,

Going over unever ground (like coming into a steep entrance to a business at an angle) would really torque on the frame/cab. The front and rear suspension wouldn't 'twist', so the frame had to...

All in all, I still miss the cornering ability of that set-up.

Good info. I've upgraded quite a few suspension systems on my vehicles and stiffer swaybars are always on my list!

Just called ADDCO at 800-621-8916 and they don't sell them to consumers. JEGS, SUMMIT, NAPA, etc. I am on the phone with Summit Racing (over 10 min) ...they are having to add the rear part number so that I can order a set.

Addco has in stock --

SWAY BAR/FRONT 1 1/2 INCH 200.38/SUMMIT 9 IN STOCK/ADDCO 8 NOW
SWAY BAR/REAR 1" XXX.XX???/SUMMIT 3 IN STOCK/ADDCO 2 NOW BUT SUMMIT CAN'T SELL UNTIL ADDCO GIVES THEM A PRICE. SOMETHING IS FISHY HERE. THEY BETTER FIT.

so I am the damn guinea pig mofo now

my 1998 Z28 show car was so stiff...cross braces...big sway bars etc that when over a crown one of the rear tires would lift off the ground....straight axle

I didn't have any subframes in my 03 Formula,,, Didn't even have urethane bushings,,, STILL had stress cracks where the roof met the rear pillar,,,, I partially blame that warmed over 455 I installed,,,, (Heh heh heh!)
Those were the days!!!! =)
