Whats the deal with changing the "fan settings"? Is that something that can be done with the superchips? I don't think I've ever seen that section.

You should be able to but I'm unfamiliar with the SC programming.

I installed my jet 180 tstat back in september and have never messed with the oem fan settings thru the diablo. I have approx put 11,000 miles on it since then hauling up to 3/4 ton of payload twice a week, racing it, absolutely dogging it on the streets and it reads 179-185 degrees any given day. Ive actually saw a boost in oil pressure immediately after installation from stock. Stock I believe was approx 34 psi after warmup and now it reads on average after warmup on idle 37psi the same as the day I installed it. So far so good with the jet tstat over here With someone who babys and takes care of their truck...absolutely even better.

PM RamTex or Speed, I believe they changed fan settings out of necessity due to the removal of the clutch fan. Im just stating Ive tested my jet tstat (Jet 180 tstat) with daily scenarios without changing fan settings from stock with no issues. is there any benifit of changing fan settings aside of removing clutch fan? Im all ears
Gabrieldy, I dropped mine in when the weather was still around mid 80s-mid 90s in late september without changing fan settings and it still reads what it reads the same today as it did back then during the work week.

Okay, I don't plan on pulling the fan off anytime soon. It gets REALLY hot and humid here in the summer, and I'll be bike hauling and trailering then!

Hopefully you won't have any issues with a CEL . I would of left the hotter thermostat in for the winter then changed it out in the late spring early summer .

I sit at idle or off idle to much to be messing with the clutch fan. 700+ hours and 17000 miles in less than 5 months.

yes that would make alot of sense. But as of now I let her idle for about 7-10 minutes in the morning in this weather we got. I get on the highway for about 3 miles by then the temps. creeps up to about 192 degrees then she opens up and stay steady around 179 degrees the rest of the day. I believe you can let your truck idle in your driveway for 20 minutes and the tstat still wont open up either one you have in there. The cabin is warmed up enough by 10 minutes of idling easily which is most important Id say.
