out of the 16 plugs, are there 8 on top and eight on the bottom?

You got it. The 8 on top are copper core and the bottom row is platinum. If you want, you can run the same platinum plugs on the top row.

thanks ramtech can u give me a part number and a place to order them?? i read one of your posts saying the tops were a bosch something or other, but i couldnt find a place to buy them. i am also going to give the mobil 1 syn oil a try based on your reccomendations

I need to correct myself. I previously said the bottom row is platinum but they're iridium (it's been a long day). The part number for the iridiums is FR8T1332.

Bosch numbers (As opposed to dealer numbers).

Intake (upper) = Bosch Super Plus (this is the correct Nickel Yttrium plug) FR8LCX( stock # 7962 )

Exhaust (lower) = Bosch PlatinumIR Fusion (this is the correct Iridium plug) FGR8LQI0 ( stock # 4508 )
