Default Hi and help please!!

Hi, Bungle the newbie from the UK here!

I'm trying to sort a deal on a 1500 Sport Crew Cab Hemi at the moment, I've been offered a new one from an independent dealer here in the UK (not Dodge as they don't officially import them here) but have been told I can't have the 3.92 diff, only the 3.55 and therefore no LSD which is bothering me.

I've also been offered a used 2009 Sport R/T Crew Cab but the owner didn't know what diff it has. I searched on the web for this model, but it seems that the Regular Cab Sport is called the R/T and has a 4.10 LSD but the Crew Cab just came as a Sport rather than an R/T model, so I think the one I'm being offered is just a Sport with Some R/T badges!! Can you confirm if I'm right at all?

Thanks, Bungle

Welcome to the site!
I think that sounds right with the R/T only coming in regular cab 2wd.

thanks! do you know of anyone that does an aftermarket LSD for the 2009 Ram? I found a company called Richmond Powertrax that was mentioned somewhere on the forum but they didn't have the 09 Ram listed.

Hi welcome to the Z and if 2009 isnt listed other close years should work seeing that its a 1500 so a the same corporate axel is used that was for quite a while if Im not mistaken. Dont take my word on it but I start looking to see if the rear end is the same as other years although Im sure you could at least find a locker for the rear

the latest Ram they listed was a 2001 so I assumed that wouldn't work. And sorry if I sound stupid (I'm coming from a Nissan GTR and my cars before that have been a Ferrari 355 and a Toyota Supra, so this is my first truck!!) but what do you mean by a locker?

Can't give any pics yet as its not mine or even in the country yet!! I've spent half the day on the phone trying to do a deal on a black 1500 Sport 4x4 Hemi Crew Cab with RamBox, Sat Nav, Heated & Cooled Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Full Leather, bluetooth, remote start, tow pack, BackFlip bed cover, Rear DVD/Game system for the kids, LPG conversion (13mpg at 5.50/gallon ($8.64 at current exchange rates!!!) is not a nice thought, LPG costs 2.94/$4.62/gallon which is a bit better!! )

The quote also says it has Media Center 730 with nav. Does anyone know if thats the top spec Alpine set up?

Wow didn't think they drove anything that big over there. Don't believe the 730 is an Alpine unit. At least it's not branded as Alpine. Doesn't mean they don't make them for Dodge though.

To answer your first question the R/T only comes in regular cab. The one they are offering you just has the badges and the hood. Could possibly have the 3.92 rear end though. That's a factory option.

If they will import a Ram for you then they can find one with the 3.92 rear end since, per above, it's a factory option.

About the radio, if you are getting the touchscreen radio w/nav that's the highest option for a headunit. Nav and rearview camera are available. As are the 506 watt alpine 9 speaker sound system + sub. I believe it's part of the sport premium group which includes the dual climate control and parksense. I would have to look at my window sticker tonight to be sure.

I love my 11. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
