Default torsion bars or coils?

I have an 06 1500 and was looking into a leveling kit. I noticed they sell bushings for coils and an adjuster for torsion bars, depending on which you have. Why two different set ups? I'm confused.

You may already know all this:

A truck's front suspension will either have springs (coil in most cases or leafs) or torsion bars. I am not sure what an '06 1500 had but I believe Dodge has been using front coils for some time now so that is probaly what you have. Look at what you have behind your front tires. If you have coil springs, you need a bushing, spacer or longer springs. Torsion bars run from the mid-section of the truck to the axle. You can see the bars by looking behind the front tires. I believe Dakota's have torision bars but not 1500s+.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I have the coils. I'm into muscle cars so I'm familiar with the torsion bars too. What I'm confused by is, there seems to be both upgrades available for my truck depending on which it has. Why not one way or the other, why build it both ways? I can understand a change in design on a new model or something like that. I'm new to 4x4s and have much to learn. I'm not afraid to ask when I don't know, though I ask a lot of stupid questions sometimes. Just trying to get my brain wrapped around some of this stuff.
