Default 2013 HD fifth wheel hitch

I have a pullrite superglyde 5th wheel hitch that I'm dying to use. Has anyone been successful in finding an aftermarket mounting bracket for this type of hitch?

Do you have the factory 5th wheel/gooseneck prep package?

No...no prep pkg. I had this hitch in a 2012 hd, and was told that nothing had changed when I bought the 2013. Now I'm waiting for someone to come up with a way to use it. I keep hearing "a couple more weeks".

On the '13s, it depends. If you have a 2500, everything should be good to go from the '12 you had. But if it's a 3500, you have to start calling around to verify. The '13 3500 got a new frame... That's where the problem might lay...

Right..I have a 3500, which won't accept the 2012 rail installation kit. Apparently, everyone is having trouble manufacturing a bracket to fit the new frame. There have been several tested so far, but all have failed. In the mean time...I wish I would have kept my 2012, or even my 2004.
Tks for the reply!

There are rails that work... I know of a guy with a Hijacker 5th wheel installed on rails....

If you wanted, you could also get a B&W gooseneck or any gooseneck hitch and a Andersen ultimate 5th wheel hitch.

I'll probably hold out through the winter and if nothing happens by next spring I'll have to eat it and go with the B & W. I just hate to as I just forked out over $1200 for the superglyde.

Is anyone making progress with the 3500 5th wheel issue? I got the vehicle 3 weeks ago and keep getting no where on the answers. No prep package but after they changed the frame design, nothing seems to fit and Ram has no part.

No joy here...keep getting told it's in testing, another 2 weeks or it failed. Not too many people talking about it. Looks like most everyone was smarter than I was and ordered their rigs with a prep pkg already in place. Wish I would have!

Get a gooseneck and the Andersen ultimate 5th wheel...

I ordered mine with the factory prep and will most likely get the Andersen setup. It works with any gooseneck hitch and you don't need any rails or adapters.
