I dont buy that. My 2002 Ram 4x4 had 3 sets of Goodyear Wranglers (16 inch 60's) on it and did just fine in the snow. I live out in the country and my driveway is 1/2 mile long, often drifting in the winter, and they dont plow my road right away. Great tires, last 60k miles plus. Maybe theres better tires out there, but Im happy with Goodyears.

For what it is worth the little driving I do, I have had no problems with the 20's in the snow up here. I have had to put it in 4 wheel drive a couple of times but no problem in driving with the factory 20's. Now the 20's on the Super Bee that is another story, they are worthless when the road is damp. To much hp for them.

8 inches of new snow and my 1/2 mile driveway with 3 hills had some drifts a couple feet deep. My 20's with Goodyear Wranglers did just fine and had NO trouble in the snow other than some snow pack on the inside of the rims that threw the wheels off balance on the hiway later on. Looks like I will be keeping them.

That is a correct statement and I verified it with the dealer. We looked at 3 brand new trucks with 20 inch rims and they all had 17 inch spares. Another thing to think about is the pinion for the speedometer. It has to be changed if you go with different size wheels than what came on it new. Thankfully, my dealer checked it and they did change it.
