Default Power Loss

So i think i have an idea of where to start but i would like opinions from the experts here. When i bought my truck i had absolutely no problem towing and going up steep grade roads. Not to long ago, i was leaving a friends house and as i made turn my oil light came on for a brief moment, and i heard a loud, ricochet like sound. I got out inspected the truck thoroughly. Seeing no problems i continued home. The next day did an oil change as the oil light has so boldly suggested haha. Ever since this incident i have had major tow and grade power loss. It seems to just bog down. taking it out of overdrive helps but even still the power loss is there. Any ideas folks?

Rutrow... sounds like diagnosis time. Everything been maintained pretty well? Spark plugs, wires, throttle body cleaned out, any coolant in the oil?

Have you noticed one of these on your truck?

That would account for some power loss...
