Default Back door issues

Quick question for crew cab owners:

Is it just me or do you have to put a lot more effort into getting the back doors to close as oppose to the front? I feel like I can barely touch my frog doors and he weight or the door closes it all the way. With the same force it only seems to latch on the back doors unless another door or window is open.

Is the door that much lighter? Or do I have a special case?

Minei have to close a little harder. im not sure if its the aerodynamics of the door being more square than the fronts..Ive noticed it too, but think little of it.. normally not in there.

All four doors on mine seem to close with equal force. Really doesn't take that much force to close them and haven't had any trouble with them not latching.

Think it is the fact that you don't use the rear doors as much as the fronts. being new they all have a break in factor

Not sure if this is the issue, but try cracking a window open and see how it goes.

Like i said, with a window open or another door it closes fine. But the front doors with everything sealed up practically close themselves. It's more of an annoyance to adjust to different door closing push strengths lol.

If it is an airlock, it just seems weird that it would only effect the back doors.

Most likely an air lock issue. The back doors maybe be smaller or lighter due to the design. Most vehicles have a body vent. Make sure it isn't blocked by anything preventing the air from escaping. Another remedy is to set your fan to outside air and leave it there. That reduces the air lock.

Mine seem to close about the same on all four. They do close easier than on my 04 did.

A body vent is an opening in the body to allow air to escape. It is generally in an inconspicuous place such as a trunk or under a rear seat. It looks like a speaker grill but it is smaller and rectangular (generally speaking). It is specifically to allow air currents to circulate and prevent air lock. As cars have become tighter it makes it harder for air to flow. For the AC and heater to work air has to circulate. Air has to come in so some air has to escape. The older vehicles leaked like sieves so this was no problem.
