I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! What a disappointment! We are currently trying to upgrade ours. The only door speakers that would fit are speakers with a top mount depth of 3 inches or less! Trust me, we have been battling this for 3 weeks. Replacing speakers, however, will not make it louder. We have added new door speakers, two amps, two subs, crossover and summing interface. This is been a big headache. It is not an easy swap or upgrade. It is very technical. We have received wonderful assistance from the audio gurus here on the Z, as well as local reputable audio shops. Today is our final day! Today is the make or break day! I will keep you posted. Here you can follow some of our issues with the stereo: http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=67702

We will be detailing, with photos, this upgrade later this evening. Best of luck.

We first did the Rockford Fosgates in the door and all it gave us was a little more clarity. Nothing louder.

Again, I agree with you. I thought there was something to be said for Alpine and thus far, I am not hearing it. The speakers had no indication of being "Alpine" which makes us wonder exactly what part of the system is Alpine? My husband thinks it's the amp and that alone. Speakers looked to be nothing more than stock. Very disappointing, Ram.

Wow that would be pretty shady on Dodge's part to give us all a Alpine "Amp" and stock speakers.

I am not very happy with the sound either. I wish the sub had more bass. The rest sounds clear and fine but not the power I was expecting. But I had to get top of the line after my Dakota 3 out of 4 worked and some times it was 2 out of 4.

My 2006 Charger with the stock Boston Acoustic- Jams........
