Default Leveling question

I know this question has been thrown around alot, but I still can't find a definite answer.

I am getting a daystar 2.5 front leveling kit installed next week. Should I upgrade my front struts? My truck does have 60,000 miles on it. I have heard that when you lift the front, it stretches out the struts that makes the ride a little too rough. And if so, what kind, blisten, or rancho? Thanks for any help.

Hello, I have read a few threads about leveling kits and have heard pretty much nothing but good things about Bilstein's, and the fact that some series are adjustable is nice also depending on the series. Let us know what you decide on and some before and after pics would be great ! Thanks and good luck.

Yea who ever told you the strut gets stretched is wrong. If you get the spacer you can keep your stock shocks and have the stock ride quality. So to answer your question, NO you dont need to replace the shocks.

If you want to spend a little more money take a look at the Bilstein 5100s. They are a strut that lifts the truck. it does it by lifting the spring seat up the walls of the shock. There is 3 different height settings. The best thing about it is that it is a shock and leveling kit all in one.

You should really look into getting an alignment done. It may not be causing the truck to veer but you have the parts angled. this can cause premature wear on the suspension parts. Definitely take the time to get one done

Well, I finally got the daystar leveling kit installed today, and can definitely tell the difference. This may sound odd, but it seems to ride a little better, especially over uneven roads. Here's the before and after pics.

Bad photo, a little snowy.
