Default Sub enclosure for 08 quad. unhappy with original purchase.

Hey audio guys, looking for your expert advice.

I posted in my previous thread how my truck was broken into and I had an amp stolen. Insurance hooked me up pretty well and I'm looking to upgrade. I bought a small "fitted" wood box for my 08 quad cab which fit under the seat. The box was a cheap $80 ebay deal which took poor use of the space and did not offer enough space for my eclipse SW6010 subs.

I was powering two of these subs with an elevation audio 1000RMS watt amp and the box was simply too small and was starving the subs for air space causing them to be nowhere near loud enough. This setup has great potential to be loud and clean with the right box which is why im turning to you guys.

My main questions: What box will give me enough air space to be loud with these subs (preferably ported) OR should I switch to a single sub and use the whole underseat space for one large ported box.

Also I'm willing to put spacers under my rear seat to allow a larger box.

thanks for the help guys and keep in mind i want LOUD with good quality (emphasis on the loud)

Take a look at the Fox Box. IT is a custom box made for the Rams rear seat holes.

I have heard the Fox box personally in two members trucks, quite impressive, and very well built. Both parties were running Kicker CVR's..

I hate to say it, but those Eclipse subs are meant to function very well in as little as .5 cu.ft...

Thanks dodgeman

Chithead- They had a good sound quality and my amp made them exceed full excursion but the sound output just wasn't there... The fox box gives almost a full cube per sub and is ported which I feel will be much louder (but perhaps lose some sound quality)

Do you guys agree?
