Question Leveling Kit/Death Wobble Poll

Just for the sake of research, how many of you guys with DR (2002-2008) trucks have installed leveling kits and got the death wobble as a result? Did you have a CORRECT (setting caster and camber to factory specs) alignment done afterward?

After hearing all of the accusations of people getting the death wobble I was interested to know this. Good idea for a thread

Not sure what DR means but I didn't have a wobble with my 2003 1500 after levelling it, but I did get an alignment done anyway.

For clarification, DR is the body style for the '02-08 model years.

Perhaps we also need to ask specifically what year each truck is as well as the size. Maybe there are slight differences between the years. Mine is a 2003 1500 as stated above.

As far as that goes, even the brand of leveling kit may make a difference. I thought of this earlier but didn't want to clutter up the poll too much.

You do not get death wobble in a 1500 truck!!! The leveling kit does not cause this!! All you get is a vibration in 4x4 because your CV shafts are on an angle. So this poll is pretty useless since no 1500s will get death wobble is is almost impossible. If you have a 2500/3500 you might get it due to bad suspension parts.

The vibration that people eperience is not that bad. I got it in my 07 Ram and it wasnt scary or anything. Death wobble will make you wet your pants. Some Rams from the factory come with angled CV shafts not all of them. So when you add a leveling kit you will put them on too much of an angle so they will cause a vibration in 4x4. When you are in 2wd you will not feel anything out of the ordinary
