That wasn't a stupid question I was wondering that myself...but like Root Beer I waste the gas start the truck about 10-15 mintues before I get into it...and it's toasty warm, and most of the windows are usually cleared by then.
I also have a solid back window, without the elements in it, I was wondering if maybe there was just 1 element around the outside parimeter of the window to clear it...but looks like that is not the case. Kind of an oversight on the part of Dodge tho...especially for those of us who live in colder climates.

I have a slider and no defroster. If you think about it.. try and make a sliding window that could work with a defroster as well. Its doable but not easy i guess.

I think for 42k and some change (sticker price) Dodge could have figured out how to get the defrost function in a rear window with a slider. Just saying

you could work something out with this do it yourself defroster, the 2 outer windows, but, not the slider window could have defrosters using this

Hmm, thanks for the link GT! That might be something I'll look into depending the cost, but it definitely gives me an option. Thanks again!

Mines the same. Heathed mirrors but no rear window defrost. I do have the solid window. Wish it had that but if I had to choose I'd rather have the heated mirrors. If they are clear you don't need the rear window.
