My truck is new only my second tank but so far 15.5 is the best with hiway and back roads combined. Hell my 04 Hemi with 3.92's and no MDS averaged 16.5-17.5 same roads.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I'll see brief spurts of 19ish to 20 on LONG trips, really babying it. Of course, when I picked up my truck new from the dealer, the tires were all at 40PSI and I was seeing a combined highway/city loop MPG of closer to 16.. I'm running around 36-37psi now, and my overall, highway and city loop, seems to clock in at 14-15. Some stop and go traffic in there which doesn't help at all.

Reset EVIC after getting up to highway speed. Drove approx 40 miles strictly in 4 cylinder mode non-stop on IH-45, IH-10, and US-290. I use my Cortex tuners data-logging feature to monitor manifold pressure and throttle position to ensure I'm in 4 cyl mode. MPG shown in EVIC was photographed while traveling on 290. (No, I was not coasting down the off ramp when the picture was taken!)

The ECO / Fuel Saver light does not guarantee you are in 4 cyl mode,,, I've turned mine off in the EVIC because it's more of a distraction than an aid.

Is this mileage the norm? Of course not, but it does show what the truck is capable of if driven strictly in 4 cylinder mode under the right circumstances.

Speeds ranged between 55 and 65 MPH. I'm also running a 91 Octane tune.

I know there are alot of factors that come into play with MPG's, but there sure are large differences between one truck and the next. I'm glad mine is one of the good ones.

The EVIC "avg MPG" is a fun toy isn't it.

There is still only one way to get your TRUE fuel mileage.

Darn good numbers for doing 70 with the CC!!!

Mine will do the same on a long stretch of road mostly flat road,,, Typically coming south from Dallas on 59, by the time I reach the beltway here in Houston, it reads in the 'low 21's,,,,,,

That friggin 27+ was 'quite unexpected', although I got a 24.5 the other day after about a 15 mile run in 4 mode,,,

Again, 99.9999% of folks wouldn't even begin to drive in the same manner I was to get that 27,,, It's pretty much like you're driving an underpowered semi,,,, roll up the incline, lose speed, roll down the incline to re-gain,,, constantly feathering the throttle to get every bit of power you can out of 4 cylinder mode WITHOUT kicking it back into 8 mode. I'd never be able to do it without watching the data-logging,,,,

Here is a (blurry)screen shot of the Cortex while I'm doing this. Top left is IAT,,, top right is water temp. bottom left is intake manifold pressure, bottom left is throttle percentage.
