Default Being a Renter has it's Benefits

Sorry, no pics, didn't even cross my mind at the time.

The temps here have been above freezing during the day for the past couple of days.

Around noon I was outside having a smoke (yup, I'm one of those but at least I don't smoke inside) and heard a hissing and spitting noise. I walked around the corner of the house the sprinkler system pressure relief valve was doing a great imitation of Old Faithful.

Got on the phone to my Landlord who came out and shut it down.

He apologized for not having the system winterized like he should have. Now he's got a nice repair coming in the spring.

Ouch, that's a PITA to dig it all up and relay it when all the pipes freeze and crack.

Nice to see a landlord who is on the ball when something does go wrong, pity they aren't all alike.

Rootbeer, have you by any chance tried the E-cigs ?

As a former smoker (a pack a day for 20+years) I am now a confirmed E-cig fan, no smell, lots less health issues and a relatively painless switch from the real smokes.

Electronic cigarette, basically a flavoured/nicotine fluid that gets evaporated on a hot element that you can inhale. This is the company I have been using for the last 10 months, they have more information etc.

www.cignot.com

I'm in no way affiliated with em, just happened to pick them as my first order point and have been impressed with their service and prices.

No, I haven't. I saw a woman using them a couple weeks ago and we chatted about them a bit. I was going to check into them. I also saw a commercial for cigarest, I think that's how its spelled that seemed to work the same way.

The woman even had a card that said it was legal to use in no-smoking places because it wasn't real smoke.

Wow...hopefully the burst is at the upper end and the whole system doesn't have to be dug up.

Brian, I quit smokin' on 10/1/10 and am fine here. If ya need some moral support or tips, holler!
