Default Morimoto 35w HID kit color temps don't match??

Hey everyone. I installed my 5000k 35w kit from retroshop over a month ago. It seems to me that the passenger side a bit more "yellow" if u can call it that. This is something I think I noticed after install but I thought maybe it was how I had them aimed or possibly it was in my head lol. Has anyone else come across this? It isn't THAT recognizable imo but really for the cost of the kit they should match lol. The kit has been FLAWLESS otherwise. I do not have a quality pic yet but I will work on getting one right away here. Thanks for the interest.
ok so I took the best pics I could of what I am talking about.

head on it is the hardest to see, basically not noticeable. If you look at the glare around the headlight you can see the driver side glare has a slight blue tint and the passenger does not. This really cant be seen in person only in the photo.

driver side beam.

passenger side. Again barely noticeable.

This is taken from inside the cab. This is what made me take a second look into what I thought was a slight difference in hue. You can clearly see the difference in the cut off from left to right.

While driving I would never notice but to me this looks like I got one 4300k bulb and one 5000k bulb in my kit. I do not really see what else it would be. There is no flicker or issues of any kind on either side. all pics are taken with the truck running. Again thanks for any input guys!

Already done. I just thought I would post a thread to see if anyone else had any experiences with the same sort of situation.

It definitely looks a bit yellow on that side. It may just be a low performing bulb.

Jeremy will take care of you.

Ya JJ suggests it could be the rotation of where the bulb is sitting in the socket. I guess the next time I feel up to it I will take the truck apart and take a look lol.

The eBay kit I bought for my 2013 Laramie had two different color bulbs. One was 4,300 and the other was 6,000. I have an app on my phone (Android) called "white balance color temp meter" which is reasonably accurate on my Galaxy Note 4 as compared against a standard at work.

The seller quickly provided two new bulbs, this time, both the same color temperature.

hey That app sounds cool lol. I have I phone 4 tho..I actually ordered a set of 4300k bulbs to replace these. Not that I am sure that it is the bulbs, I just figured if I was going to take the truck apart again to adjust the rotation I might as well switch out to 4300 while I am at it. I went with the 5000k to better match my xb led fog bulbs....but they really don't match up all that great anyways lol.

As HID bulbs age with use, their color temperature will increase. If you take 6K bulbs and drive them with a 50 watt ballast, their color temperature will change to around 4.3K Kelvin. Just some interesting info you need to be aware when color matching.

good point^^ thanks. I am more than ever convinced that I got a funny bulb of some kind. When I fire up the truck they match perfectly. It isn't until 10 seconds or so that my passenger side yellows a bit. I know they all do these when they are first warming up tho. I have a pair of 4300k bulbs on the way!

I agree that the Morimoto XB LED bulbs don't match a 5k HID as they were advertised to. I almost think the LED is 6k...
