Default help..noticable different sound in engine

hi, everybody knows there truck engines and what it sounds like when we get in them, and we also know when we hear something different going on with the engine. well that is me at this point. i get this sound that emitts a sound like a pulse of air every so many seconds.it does it at between 10 to 40 mph and goes away when on highway. when i was in my driveway i had my truck in park a revved the gas to the rpms to where it would do it and i could not duplicate the sound. it seems it does it in gear. all this started when i installed a 77 series k&n cold air intake.i checked my install on my intake and everthing is perfect but cant figure out what that sound is . could it be an intake manifold or some exhaust leak?

if it is an exhaust leak i can check that by stuffing a rag in the tail pipe and go under the truck and feel the leanth of the pipe for leaks but do this when u first start the truck B4 it gets hot also make sure that the clamp that holds the plastic on to the throtel body (or carb) is snug and that thing r sealed up on the bacl side closest the fire wall

like i mentioned above i do not get this purge or leak sound when in park and i rev the engine. the engine sounds fine. it only makes the sound when driving and you hear like a purge or air leak so many second . when on highway it is gone?

i understand that it is making noise while under load(in gear and driving) the suggestions are things that can be checked in the driveway. that sometimes get missed and make noise when under load. somrthing so simple as a small from the output on ur muffler and tril pipe will make a noise( i think it sounds like a vacume) and you will only notice if u really know ur cars or trucks. untill ur out driving around the mall with the wall on the passengerside

you may be able to take some BLUE painters tape & tape up your hose connections on your CAI
I have heard that people notice a sound change when they install a CAI, your system may have a leak of some sort
