They clay bar will strip wax, but will you get better results if you use dish soap before you start this process? Since it's a surfactant and will strip wax also will it clean the deposits off better? Thanks for the help. Looking forward to warmer weather to pamper my baby
This is exactly what I do on my vehicles before using the clay - wash with dish soap to strip the wax off as best I can.

FWIW, I've always used Zaino Bros products on my toys and have been very impressed.

You can also mix up a 50/50 wiping solution with Alcohol and water In a spray bottle
Thats what i use for wipe down with pc7424.
good for little sections,panels.
Excellent for inspection of the swirl removal process

I have used Meguiar's products many times before and the shine is very good. So is protection. I owned a black shiny vehicle at one time and I found Meguiar's stained all of my black trim on a 2003 Chevy I had at the time. I changed to Poorboy products after I learned that their swirl removers do not stain and can be used in sun or shade. Steve, at Poorboy's, will head you in the right direction if there are any questions.

All of the products mentioned are very good. I stick with Poorboy's for the reasons mentioned above.

Poorboy's rocks,I picked up the PB EX-P for dark colored paint.
I'm always getting complements on the paint.

Default clay bar

Clay bar is a clay like looking substance that you use on your vehicle at least twice a year that takes the contaminants off your paint finish.
First step to this process is to wash your vehicle very good and also door jambs. After you vehicle has dried you start with clay bar for which normal car washing cant remove. You spray a clay bar lubricant on a small area then you take the clay bar back and forth over it a few times then wipe off the spray. Do this to the entire vehicle and also the door jambs and windows.
After you are done with that process you need to polish the paint either by hand or by a polishing machine. It comes out better by machine if you have one. After that process then you need to give it a couple of coats of wax and letting each coat dry at least 4 hours before the next one. Using clay bar removes the contaminants and also your finish will feel alot smoother. You can buy clay bar at automotive stores but i buy mine online at www.properautocare. I get all my car finishing products from them and have been using their stuff for about 6 years now. Its a little more exspensive than what you can probably buy at automotive stores but you get what you pay for..I hope this info helps you......have a great day
