Default possible to extend factory remote start range?

hey i got a 2011 1500 with factory remote start and was wondering if there is something aftermarket or dealer option to boost the range of the remote start? when its -40C out it would be nice to be able to start it from class rather then as im walking out it it.

Thanks!!
Chad

Thats actually a pretty good question. It would be nice to have the same range as the aftermarket ones.

OK Try this. Hold the key to the bottom of your chin touching your jaw bone. This convert your head into a antenna. Really !!! it doubles our garage door distance. ( from our kid the physics major )

The Viper system I had in my Nissan was nearly a 2000 foot range. Plus, it was a two way system so I didn't even have to see my vehicle to tell if it was started.

What I REALLY want is the iPhone add on like you can get for the Viper. Then I could start it from ANYWHERE! The service fee would be completely worth it in the cold winter months.

I have the Viper SmartStart on my 07 and cant wait to switch it over to my 2011, picks up pretty much anywhere you have cell phone signal. Was in Atlanta a few weeks ago and started my truck here in Omaha with it, just to see how long it took for my gf to call me freaking out thinking somebody was stealing it hahaha.

Whatever you do, don't get the compustar drone. I had soooo many issues with it, I had it removed with a full refund. Not sure if it was the installer but it drove me nuts.

I'm going to wait a little and try out the smart start.
