Good stuff guys.. I have 2010 big horn w 20's on it. Do any of you know the exact specs of that wheel... I think they are 20x9 with a +19.05mm offset? The prob I am having is at full turn my 305 55's rub the swaybar, so I'm looking at new rims?

Is this true for a spacer that's not an adapter? After all the spacer is only creating space between the wheel and the hub.

Can somebody recommend a good 1/2 inch wheel spacer?
That one from ebay was not for 5x5.5.

Do you recall where you got the spacers? What brand? Did you have to align the front end? thanks.

I just put my new ones on that I got from this guy... http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_spacers.php

I bought the hub-centric only spacers and they didn't affect the balance at all. My only complaint was that the holes are cut to be a very tight fit on the studs. I drilled mine out a little, otherwise I doubt I would be able to get them back off after I put them on. (I only use mine during the summer) The spacers don't change the alignment, so you should be okay. My truck handles better, gets better MPG's with my summer wheels/tires with the spacers, but that's not due to the spacers, but more the wheel/tire setup. You won't even know the spacers are there. I wouldn't go any bigger than 1/2" though. I have been considering getting longer studs, just to be safe.

u can fit a wider tire without adding a spacer. i tried a used 305 50 20 toyo proxes on my 09 and had no rub issues at all. the tire was an inch and a half wider than stock and a half inch shorter.

I'm not familiar with the suspension of the 09 but most wheels won't allow the 305/50/20 to clear the upper control arm on the 06-08.

it cleared no problem, maybe it's the offset of the 09 wheels

Plan is to put 305/55/20s on my 2010 2wd stock 20x9s chrome clads. I've read they will rub unless I put 1/4 inch spacers. But if i can get away with 1/2 hubcentric spacers (not adapters) I'll go that way as I'd like an even more agressive look.

If anybody is running that combination please chime in with pictures and details. I've ready the wider tires will hurt mpg some, but I'm already doing a terrible 12 mpg combined with just over 5k on the truck. How much worse could I be doing right?

I think this combination will look incredible.

Did you get hub and wheel centric ($300 for 4 ouch)
they look high quality, but $200 for spacers is kinda pricey I think.

I still have to wonder how important is hubcentric if it's just a spacer (not an adapter) afterall the wheel's position is not changing, it's just going to sit out a little further.

$50 for a set of these:

Speedwaymotors nonHubcentric generic wheel spacers

Thoughts?

I just talked to a Spacer manufacturer who said I needed at least 1 1/8 of thread on my current setup to be able to safely run 1/2 inch spacers.

It's very close, I'd say I have 1 1/16 of thread, possibly 1 1/8 when you tighen.

On the stock wheel and nut I get almost 13 full turns from on to tight.

Anybody running a 1/2 inch spacer on stock 20s on a 2wd for some time now?

I'm trying to see if I can run 1/2 inch spacers and 325/50/20s all the way around with no rubbing or problems.
