Default Tow mirror signal lights

Sorry if this has been posted already but I couldn't find it in my searches. I have the tow mirrors with the signals built in. Foolishly Dodge didn't think these should also be marker lights as well. Seeing how far the mirrors stick out might be a good idea. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make them work as markers and as signals.

i was kinda hoping someone would know how to do this as well. im thinking you would have to splice the wires from the mirrors to the harness to the parking lights.

That's an interesting question. Never really gave it any thought, but now I'm curious.

If I understand the question right (I am slow), does Mopar make a tow mirrow with a signal and marker light (as you see with the Fords)? The anwser is yes as I have them. One one of my 2008 SLTs, the marker lights go on when I put the fog lights on. I posted pics of this truck in December that show the mirror style. I got them through Mopar. I beleive the set was pricey at something like $550.

Hope this helps. I can send you the details if you send me a PM.

If you can determine how to run a parking light wire up to each mirror that would work.

That would work too. Below is a picture of the mirror I mentioned that was designed by MOPAR with a marker lamp built in.

They are not the greatest looking but work great when towing.

Since you already have mirrors, I found the installation instructions for teh said mirrors off the web that may help you if you want to run a parking light wire to the mirror. The instructions show you where the wires run, etc.
