You can use that on the older trucks without the bumper cutouts! Good call on the muffler!

Yep, I dont have the bumper w/cutouts, so I think it'll work. Thanks!

Thought about it, but I didnt want anymore interior resonance than I have to. So, I was gonna have it exit, out to the right, like factory location, with a polished, rolled 4" tip.

Actually i put my magnaflow muffler on first, had a lot of drone then took the resonators off and it sounds better to me now. just my 2 cents though

I did the opposite and am equally happy. Resonators first, then Mag muffler. Very happy with the sound.

Thumbs up

that sounds real good. The sound is what I am looking for. I didnt want it to be over bearing just to get performance out of it. That helped alot.

Hi 916Timmy nice thread you have going on here, Thanks for your patience to help us with our exhaust questions.

I have 2 questions to add to this thread.

1- My truck just reached 8500 miles this week, so it is time for an exhaust swap, especially with the smashed Y-pipe from factory. I thought about 18" Mag just like yours, but I am uneasy about drone. Should I go with 24" Mag instead? I am not looking for attention from everyone when I drive by, I am just looking for a better flow and a little better muffler sound.

2- On my install do I have to cut the resonators? Leaving them will be fine or take them off will make my exhaust flow better?

Once again thanks from a fellow Service Member. (I ordered the Mag Y-pipe today, just 27.00 unbelievable cheap)
