Default 2010 Ram Speaker Sizes

I apologize if this has been posted before, but the search function did not provide any results for the terms I was searching for.

I am wanting to know what the factory speaker sizes are in a 2010 crew cab ram with out the upgraded system. Crutchfield says that the doors are 6x9 speakers, but all their speakers that are 6x9 say that they don't fit. Can anyone tell me what the right size is or if it is 6x9, why they are saying they don't fit?

Thanks for the help

Probably due to the depth limitations. They are 6x9 in all four doors, and 3.5" in the dash.

Find any door speakers that fit, yet?

I have a 2011 and having the same issues with crutchfield, I want to use a pair of JL audio 6x9 i have and install them, i think they will work with if i install a spacer. my concern is retaining the steering wheel controls. I have read the reviews on crutchfield about the PAC adapter, and users state there is a delay from the time you press the button until the time something actually happens on the radio.. others say it works great...

For some reason I thought the door speakers were 6.5"s. That is what I was told by my speaker guys. I installed a set of focal components and they fit right into the hole and they were 6.5s mids

Thanks for the input everyone. I have purchased a complete audio system for my truck and have a couple questions. I purchased an Alpine CDE-125BT and the Alpine KTP-445 to power the speakers. For the speakers I ended up going with Sony XS-GT1626A in the front and rear doors and Polk Audio DXi350 for the dash. I also went with a Sound Ordnance B-8PT as a powered sub to put under my back or passenger seats. I will have to run a power wire from the battery for this. Can anyone tell me where they ran the power cable through the firewall at? I am waiting for everything to be shipped from crutchfield, but I want to start figuring out how to run the wires.

look up to the left of your steering column under the dash, there are 2 bolts, I believe 15 mm, unscrew those, and you can remove the place from uner the hood. Drill a hole in the center of the plate, then both back in...thats where i did mine, whole process took me about 15 mins and it is real clean.

I was also looking at the KTP-445 for my 2010 with the 730N premium system and was wondering how you liked it? Could you notice a difference in sound quality?
