Default 2011 Ram with Cap

I am thinking about getting a cap for the Ram. Does anyone have a 2011 or 10 with a painted to match fiberglass cap? If so can you post some pictures and suggestions for me? PLease....

I am leaning towards a leer but would like some opinions.

Thanks

This has been a hot topic for me the last couple weeks. I really do not think I will care for the looks with a cap on my truck, but I just see no other alternative. We usually make several trips a year back home, camping etc. where we take our dogs with us. Two adults, two young teens and two beagles just won’t cut it in my quad cap for 12+ hrs, not to mention all the crap we seem to “have to” bring with us. I’d like to get a cap for the longer trips. I also think I have it narrowed down to a Leer. There are not many options in my area and out of them all I think Leer has the best reputation. I’ve had a tough go of it trying to find some pics also. The Leer brochure the dealer gave me was specifically for dodge and had pics of all the caps in their product line that would work on dodge trucks. So I was able to see a few pics that way, if that helps. You might be able to get brochures from the dealers in your area. If I come across any good pics in my searches I will send them to you.

Man, toppers are like getting a lap dance from a hot chick wearing baggy sweatpants.

But if you HAVE to put one on there... I'd go with Leer as well. They are the best fitting for our trucks, and don't make it look so "grandpa-ish"

I believe the MOPAR accessory tops are made by Leer and they are good quality.

Yes the mopar tops are a leer that are painted by dodge in the factory. It's a little more expensive but well worth it. I have one on my truck but currently only have cell phone pics that I haven't uploaded to my computer. If you pm me your number/email I'll email you some or hopefully I will get the girl clean this weekend and take pics.

I had one like the Leer 122 on my 04 Ram 1500 RC 8ft bed. It was great because being 5' 4" I could almost stand up in it. It was color matching, Patriot Blue, and had carpeted walls and ceiling with power outlets and lights.

I didn't get nor do I like the boot between the top and the cab. It would be handy if you had people riding in the bed but that's about it.

I did an online search for Mopar cap and nothing comes up. Do you have a part number by any chance?

Here's a post by Kurt from Moparparts online, one of our supporting members. Give him a call and I'm sure he'll help you. Make sure you tell him you're from the Z so you get our discount.
