They are easy enough to paint ourselves! A TON of people have done them, and they all came out great!

I am 50/50 It would be really cool to do them myself...but I don't want to mess them up...how do you get them back together after you paint them? I would hate to mess it up...although it would be a lot cheaper...but at least if I tried it first and they didn't turn out 100% I would be able to buy a new set and keep the ones that are alright for a spare...I dunno

Has anyone done the 4th Gens in here???

My stock headlight lenses were trashed and when I was looking for replacements I ran across a set of those and bought them. The truck looks better with them, in a subtle sort of way, because the housing is black and the lens is still clear.

I am just doing mine now. IT is tedious to say the least. So far so good but I think getting them back together is going to be the biggest rash. I cut a 1/4 inch of the rim of the clear plastic cover just to ensure that it will fit back together the same. I also black out the orange turn signal with tint and will replace the side yellow reflector with a red reflective maple leaf.

Re bake them in the oven to reseal.
There's tons of info on the web and You-Tube has some excellent how to videos on baking the headlights.

Ha ha too late. I already dug out as much of that seal as I could (not much)which was a miserable failure. I can see how this can be easily messed up, I am close but not there quiet yet. Will set the lens in sikaflex which is good gripy, tough stuff but still flexible. Just waiting for the reflective maple leafs to show by courier to replace the side reflector. Cant wait. This has taken me 3 days, mostly because I am waiting for materials and paint to dry.
Hard to do this in less than 2 days.

Hope to post pics.

Following through here:

Rainy day here, again. Project turned out ok. Got one of the maple leafs a touch crooked but maybe I am the only one to notice.
Fun project.
Think next I will tint spray the chrome emblems.
