Default Suspension and rim question.

I'm looking to maybe do a 4.5 lift on my 07 ram1500 2wd. http://www.performance4trucks.com/Li...pn=SKYD501MK-H

now my question is this. I have the stock 20 in rims on my ram, this kit says that the wheel size is 15-16x10. Does this mean that I will be unable to use my stock rims. I was hoping to be able to lift it keep my stock rims and but some Nitto A/T 33's on it. Is this possible?

alright cool thanks just so i have the knowledge, what did that whole wheel 15-16 thing mean?
Also what would you recommend my tire size be? Its a 2wd so im not looking to do any crazy mudding just a more aggressive stance. I was going to try and run 33' maybe but what would you say?

You can do a 33" tall tire with this lift easily enough. My concern is going too wide, i.e. to a 12.5" or wider tire as with the stock rim offset, you may rub on the inside. A 285 or 305 section width tire would be the max.

I think they are referring to the max wheel size in a 15" or 16" diameter wheel would be a 10" wide whee. Your stock rims aren't 10" wide so you are good.

another question hope you can help with this as well. I was looking at these tires http://www.performance4trucks.com/Ti...GEN15478240000

but i see for some reason it says 305/50r/20....whats with the 305? is it a typo maybe for 30.5 or is 305 a size?

"305" is the tire section width in millimeters. That equals 12.0078 inches.

Here's a great website that explains tire size designations:
