Default 38" or 40" toyo open country MT

I currently have a 6" BDS lift that will clear 37's, my question is what would be the best choice to be able to clear either 38's or 40's. The first thing that came to mind was throwing on a 3" body lift, that would give me the clearance for the 38's but most likely not 40's. The second option is ditching the BDS lift and finding something else or getting one made. My only problem with the body lift is the fact that I have a brush guard on the front of my truck and I'm not sure if I could have something made to remount that 3" higher to match the body lift. Any opinions?

3" body should give you enough room for 40's, you may have to put some spacers on though. as for raising you bush guard, a metal fab shop should be able to make a couple of plates for you to move the mounts higher. worst case scenario, put on 38's and see what kind of clearance you have, if theres lots still, buy 40's next tiem you need tires

Yeah go with a 3in body lift and you will have plenty of room for 38's and probly 40's. The brush guard isent hard to raise at all. Here's mine with 37's and they have plenty of room with a 6in suspension and 3in body lift.

If you want to put 40" tires on you should be able to fit it with the 6+3" lift. I have seen a Ram, year ???, and it had 40s with the same lift idea. I know myself I want to do the same thing as you with the 40s and 9" lift

With a 6in kit the leveling kit wont work the body lift will probably do it. there was a post on the for sale section for a huge lift
