so i was wondering if this has happened to any one else but my truck was making a humming noise when i would let off the gas and it happened for two days finally last night the whole drive shaft fell out and was laying on the ground in the street the nut on the back end came out im pretty sure let me know if this has happened to u and what u did to fix it

At the very least, you're going to need a ring and pinion set plus the related bearings and seals required for installation. There's also the possibility of differential, carrier and housing damage as well. The first thing to do is have the damage assessed.

Not good . I've seen this happen before . You may be better off tracking down a used unit in a salvage yard .

so it was 900 to get a new reing and pinion and seal replaced i almost cried when i saw the billmoral of the story dont let some one you dont know work on your truck because they will use the same pinion nut twice and that just doesnt work
