Default Transmission Shutter and shake

Has Diablosports found a cure for the problems with the 09-10 models regarding the problem with the transmission shifting problems? I was reading another forum and it appeared they had not found a cure for the problem as of the first of this year. It appeared to be happening to a lot of people with 4th gen trucks. I'd hate to spend over $300 and not be able to use the thing. Also I thought there was a vendor on this site that sold these--I can't seem to find them?????(maybe I'm just old and blind)

I have the DSP installed on my truck and have heard of the transmission vibration others have mentioned and haven't heard that they have cured the problem yet. I personally don't get that vibration, but I also must say I am not as blown away by the DSP as others are on the site. I bought mine from speedlogic here on this site. They had a great price and make sure if you do get one that you get the computer interface with it so you can install any updates that DSP issues. I've already had to update mine once.

Default I have the surging problem... frustrated!!

Diablo sport hasn't offered up any solutions to fix the problem. So I am one of the unlucky customers that now has a $300 useless chunk of blue plastic.
Thrilled.

I wouldnt say that. The trans issue is around 40 mph downshift to passing gear. Other than that, it is a great improvement. So until a new crom is released, just be aware of it and you should enjoy it.

I know how popular the Diablo is on this site, and I was not trying to trash the product. I was considering buying one and then I went to their own web site and started to read about some of the problems and I became concerned about spending $300 + and then having something that would not perform properly. I understand that they are only having problems with about 1-2% of the programers(they say)but I really don't want to be in that group. I guess i'll wait till there is a cure before spending my money on that mod. Thanks for the replies so far.

The programmers aren't the problem at all. I am not sure about 1-2% of the trucks are even having problems. The only problem I am aware of is the 40mph passing gear downshift issue. If you know that is the mph for the problem, then drive to avoid it and you will be completely satisfied. The problem, as I understand it, is related to how the transmission is programmed to handle torque (torque management). So the programmer isn't exactly causing the problem, it is just making it more noticeable. I can tell you that at 40 mph, the truck will downshift twice if floored. If you simply press the pedal partially down and then floor it, you should have no issues.

I bet if you buy it, you will be satisfied. Remember that what you are reading as problems on the diablo site is only from people that are having issues...that is why it is technical support. What you are not hearing from is the other thousands and thousands of satisfied customers. Rest assured Diablo will find a solution for those people that need something slightly different. Johan even writes custom tunes for each customer that asks. Their customer support is fantastic. You will not be disappointed.

If it was happening at just 40 mph, that wouldn't be so bad, but the fact is it happens at any speed when I hit passing gear. The only time I don't experience the shutter is from a stand still. I'm not the only person to have this problem from what I have read on various forums including Diablos.
