Default heater blower

Hi guys im a new ram owner. i got a 2002 1500 st quad 4x4. now the person didnt tell me but there is no powert to the blower motor. i didnt know that bc the guy rigged it to a plug and it was pluged into the cig lighter and i though it was just a phone charger. what fuse would cause no power. he cut the green wire and connected to a cig lighter plug

I know there has been an issue with a lot of Rams like this, there is a plug that works it's way out from how it connects to the motor. Don't know if this is what is going on with your or not but know a few people this was the case.

Man I hate when someone has gotten in there and instead of fixing the problem , makes a mess . I'm not sure how to tell you about going about and fixing it , other than reassemble the truck back the way it was originally then go from there .

Man I am curious to know if the ignition switch fixed it? I am having the same problems with my blower. I changed the resistor with no luck. I wiggled the fuse and the motor came on and worked at all speeds yesterday, but when I drove it today no fan?

Sounds good, I bought a switch today and hope to get it in tomorrow. I had to just keep jacking with the tilt to get it to work today.

you may want to look at the www.heatertreater.com website

they have 3 videos that do a good job for trouble shooting, even IF its not for your particular year, its close enough
