Default Diablosport Prediaor

I just ordered my Diablo Sport Predator and K&N 77 Series CAI...My questions is this...Is there anything you wish someone would have told you before you tried to tune your truck with the DS? I have read MaDDogs write up on the DS...I think it's pretty straight forward...But i'd like to hear your thoughts...Good gains? Can you feel the difference?

Maddog- At this point I have not done any real "engine mods." I have a K&N CAI and 180 thermo that will be here at the end of the week. I did upgrade my rear gear from 3.21 to 4.10 when I did my lift. My thought process is at this point just do one of the DSP 91 or 93 tune turn the MDS off and Increase throttle response by 15% and leave it alone.

At the end of May i'll be having the Magniflow Cat Back Exhaust put in...Then i'll go to my local DSP/Dino guy to have them tune it further. They said the tune will run 4-600 dollars...Thats my thought process...Sound good? Anything else you would change?

I am trying to find a thread for my problem, I posted this on the newbie thread

Thanks for the warm welcome. I do have a problem and not sure where to post. I received my Predator one week ago today but have not been able to load it on the truck. I have been on the Diablosport help forum. They have a very slow response time and I see they have resolved many problems but not mine. I finally called Diablo tuesday. The Tech guided me threw the installation and told me some one would get back to me by Monday. My thoughts are I may have been shipped a tool that was returned by someone else. The disk was not in an envelope and needed cleaning. I ordered it from Autoanything, Should I wait to hear from Diablo or should I send it back. The Magnaflo cat back arrived Wednesday. I very much would like to resolve this problem.
Thanks

I think I would call Autoanything and tell them you received what appears to be a "used" DS, and you would like to have a new one like you paid for. It should be real easy to upload a tune, thats just my opinion.

The DSP will certainly enhance a stock motor with the canned 91 tune. Take a look at the link below for some real world, on the dyno, results and comparison between the stock and 91 octane tune:

Ram Mods

The biggest difference is where the power comes on at a lower RPM and is sustained longer. Also, the air / fuel ratio dropped from a lean condition right into the sweet spot for the HEMI.

The beauty of the tool is the programming options. Once you start getting into some motor mods, those can be accounted for with a custom tune.

Sounds like you are going to get a CMR tune after the new exhaust is on. That will REALLY wake it up. I had my SRT done last year and whoa...what a difference! Don't get me wrong...the Predator on it's own is great!
