Question What is the biggest tire i can ride on a factory ride hight 15

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with the factory 17s i was wondering what is the tallest offroad tire that i could install on the factory ride hight? thanks for the input guys and gals

If memory serves, you can safely run a 285/75R-17. Keep in mind not all tires are created equally and some will be taller or wider than others even thought they're sized the same.

That ^^^^ would be the max and, as he said, tires do vary from mfgr to mfgr. You may end up having to run a 65 series vs. a 75 series depending on whose tire and what style, i.e., highway tread vs. off-road tread.

And there's no reason why the tire store can't test mount a 65, 70 or 75 series tire for you to check clearance.

I would have to agree with the guys above. A 70 series might be the better way to go with a stock truck.

i just put 285/70/17 on stock rims, with no lift or level,
they are goodyear wrangler territorys similar to the duratracs
ill post a pic if i can figure it out lol
