Personal experience I would check your local car audio shops before I buy online. I know even the most respectable shops in the world will install your online purchase but they are going to charge you a straight $hr rate which is roughly $60 an hour, if it takes them 3 hours the math is easy and so on.
I find if you buy the unit from them warranty issues are much easier to deal with and the extra you may pay local if anything you usually get back in the install. They usually have a special price when buying a deck and supplies from them on an install of say straight $60 compared to a by the hour price. With a newer truck it usually takes them a little longer as they are getting used to taking apart the dash and if really new a lot more care is taken.
I worked in the car audio industry about 10 years ago for 3 to 4 years and thats how it worked with us. I have seen new rigs take us 3 to 4 hrs to install but when the equipment was purchased there we honored the set install price for buying from us.
