Default Aux Battery

I'm interested in installing an auxiliary battery under the hood on my 09 1500. I had one in my 97 where I bought the second battery tray for a diesel from the dealer, and it bolted on and made the install very easy. Looking under the hood on my 09, and the intake plumbing is taking up most of the space on the right side inner fender leaving almost no room.

Does anyone have any suggestions on placement or a way to relocate the intake plumbing to provide the room?

Thanks!

Andy

A plastic RV/Boat battery box in the bed, or a fabricated metal box (some offroad places may have this) bolted to the frame might do the trick... If you don't mind me asking, what is your reason for needing an aux battery? Other suggestions or options might come along if the reason is known.

a remote cai and the diesel mount.
or...
I built a mounting bracket under the truck between the frame rails for a battery box it worked pretty good if you want I could get a pic for you

I installed mine so I can disconect it from the main truck battery and run a power inverter without draining my starting battery and my amp is direct wired to it as well

No problem in asking. I go to remote sites and use the truck to power my telescope and it's accessories. After one rather late night viewing with my old truck, my battery was dead enough not to start it. So that's when I chose to put an auxilary battery in it and want to update the new truck with one as well.

I'm open to all suggestions and appreciate pictures if you have them of your solutions.

Thanks,

Andy

no problem these are crappy but you should get the point

now you have brake lines and fuel lines on the inside of the frame rail so it has to mount on the outside or at least have spacers too clear the lines but there is plenty of room under there for a battery I will redo mine later with a metal sealed box and a better battery but for now this works
down falls: not easy access, deep water would be an issue,

easiest way would be to move the air filter box & put the battery in its place
several CAI products would make the air box movable
