kickdown/tv cable problems?
|
so in my 2001 ram i broke the little plastic connector that holds the kickdown cable to the side of the throttle body, im getting ready to replace it, and i need some help, where the cable connects to the side of the transmission it looks like its rivited in, how the hell do i get it of, also i need tips on setting the cable in the right spot(like 1/4 inch or how ever its done) and i heard some where that driving without the kick down cable can tear up your transmission, ive been driving without it for about 3 days, do i need to be worried? any help would be much appreciated

It should just pop off with a little effort and a screwdriver or small pry bar.

You COULD slip a little chunk of air hose or something like that over the cable and hold it on with a hose clamp...
