When I bought my Ram 14 years ago it had some issues with hard shifting and I took it to the dealer. They told me they couldn't reproduce it. They had me leave it over night since it mostly did it when it was cold, they jerked me around and finally told me I was crazy. In essence the manager told me that I was being a hypochondriac, just looking for problems. They didn't even bother to mention that there were a couple of TSBs for the tranny on my Ram back then. End result was that my truck was shifting WORSE after they were done with it. I got really pi$$ed and went to a totally different dealer in another county. That dealer fixed my problem in no time flat. They were really great to work with. What pi$$ed me off even more was that later when Dodge was closing dealers the closed the one that helped me and kept open the one that jerked me around. Don't give up and don't take BS from one dealer. Find another one that is more customer oriented and give them your business. Also, I don't know if Dodge sends out customer satisfaction surveys. I have received them from Ford and Toyota since those are my two newest cars. Make sure Dodge hears about both the good and the BAD on the surveys.
I don't think you fully understand. I never once said I was unhappy with the response i was given. Its an intermittent problem. If i can't duplicate it why should i expect them to duplicate it right off the bat?
I myself am a Service Advisor at a high end repair shop and I hate to say it, but its people like you that I hate. Never happy because the problem didn't get fixed the first time even though the problem could not be duplicated. Unless you have endless amounts of money to burn on a couple techs to spend endless amounts of time on your truck, I wouldn't be complaining. Give the dealer some credit. Atleast the had their best guys on my truck.
