Default disappointed with my 2011 ram truck

Starting to get a bad feeling about my truck. Two days ago, it limped into the dealership because the connector on the back of the alternator came undone and the truck was running off of the power from the battery. Guess it was loose from the factory, and eventually came off. Now tonight, i think my transmission dropped. The truck will not engage gears in reverse or drive, the tach revs up when I step on the gas but the truck does not move. When in drive, i take my foot off the gas, and the truck rolls backwards. I also checked the neutral button on the 4wd selector, and that is off. Transmission fluid is full and there is a hot smell coming from the truck, so guess it's gonna get towed back to the dealer. Truck only has 400 miles on it and already having problems.

Wow...sometimes a lemon does get through. The loose connector I can buy as a missed QC item but I surely don't expect a transmission to be gone that quickly unless it was another QC oversight.

Hang in there. I'm sure they will fix this up right and you'll get plenty of good miles and enjoyment out of your Ram.

A friend told me that there may be a recall coming concerning the torque converters. Apparently there is a known issue? Can anyone confirm?

Wow man sorry to hear about all of that. I actually have been noticing my 11 is kinda sloppy. I cant put my finger on it but it seems like something is wrong. I too roll back on a hill. My trucks traction control is all f'd up since it engages when ever I give a little throttle. I dont know buddy, just take it to the dealer and get it checked out! I am sure they will swap it all out for ya

Go into your vehicle settings and make sure your "Hill Start Assist" is enabled. If it's disabled then you'll get the "roll back" on a hill.

Boy that really sucks man, I hope that they take care of you issues, sometimes its just badluck or none at all. Keep asking the dealer for free stuff, considering what u have spent and the major inconvenience u r being put through, could make the situation less stressful. Hope it all works out for ya

I know this doesn't apply to tomhrrs69 current circumstances

Yesterday i had to standby while an Oversized Load, that i was going to be escorting, was being loaded, 4 hour wait before departure

I didn't have any magazine to read, SO, i started reading my OWNERS MANUAL
i read about the Personal Preference Settings & read several answers to questions that i have seen posted in here, including the Hill Start Assist & how to set it & many other things

I also read about the Climate Control settings & i may have found the answer about the breeze that some people have experienced coming from under the drivers side seat, i will be playing with my settings sometime soon to see IF what i think i read is correct

sorry about the Tread Jacking

I could NOT find anything about the little i in the square box to the left of the odometer reading, that has had me curious for quite some time now.
If any one knows the answer, please inform me
