Default N-Fab nerf install question

I'm interested in a set of wheel to wheel nerf bars for my truck. For those of you who have the N-Fab's on your 4th gen Ram's; how was installation? was it direct bolt on or was drilling the frame required? Drilling will be a deal breaker for me. Thanks! Andy

If they come with the brackets that mount to the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the rocker panels, install the brackets by themselves loosely, then loosely mount the bars on the brackets, then tighten the brackets at the rocker panel followed by on the bars.

Don't even think about trying to mount the brackets to the rocker panels while they're still attached to the bars.

I have the F-Fab wheel to wheels on my 07 Ram. I had to drill new holes to fit the stpes on. I honestly think that the 4th gen Rams wouldn't have to since the brackets look similar to the ones on my N-Fab. I have the Mopar ones on my '11 Ram and like I said the brackets look pretty similar.

Just take a look on ther site and see if they have any instructions for install

Didnt find much about install on the N-Fab website and they never emailed me back when I inquired. (That's a strike) I checked Smittlybilts website since they are supposed to be the same bar. They say drilling is required. http://www.smittybilt.com/product/index/3.htm That is another strike since I want to avoid drilling the frame. This sucks because it is a really cool looking nerf bar.

I'm curious about this as well. I am debating on getting a set for my 08 but I also do not like to drill holes to mount things, just a personal preference.

Really you are drilling holes in the truck but they are for a good cause. You are getting some sweet looking steps that will probably stay on the truck for its life. Not like you will see the holes or anything.

I did it and I have no regrets. If anything I am happy I did since the steps look friggen sweet!

i have go rhino bars and did not have to drill. i cant see nfab creating a bar that was harder to install. the holes already in the truck would make it easy for any company to make a "no drill" installation.

Curt4816! I can't see it either. Wish they would've replied back to me. That alone makes me want to shop for different bars but the N-Fabs do look GOOD. I'll look into the Go Rhino bars too. Do you know what the weight capacity is for the Rhino bars? N-Fab's are around 416 or so lbs. Thanks!
