Yes there were instructions on how to drill the holes.

I am not sure if you will have to drill holes with the new Rams or not. I have them on my 07 and yes I did need to drill holes. The brackets on the N-Fab are much beefier and you can tell they mean business. They are a great step and you should not let a few holes stop you from getting them.

the Go Rhino ones are alright. They do look pretty similar to the N-Fab ones but they have a contrast color on the steps. The black ones have a piece of stainless where you step onto. That is what stopped me from buying those ones.

Hey Scatpac07, I am working on putting these on my '11. Did you use a regular bit or the "hole" cutting bit? Looks as if it is only to make a big enough hole to get the clips through. any help on drilling the holes? Thanks, chuck

Finished installing my N-fab's and they are grrrreat!! I did drill holes, used one of those bits that are tapered from small to bigger wholes so I could try and use as small of hole as possible. It went fine, drilled a pilot hole and then onto the bigger bit and I was done in no time! The brackets and steps are one piece, you can lift the front side up and start that bolt and then go to the rear and raise it and bolt it up. Pretty cut and dry.
