Default Replacing Tires for first time- Advice?

I am going to need to replace my stock Goodyear Wrangler HP's soon, They have 46k miles on them, I think ill probably get another 10-15k out of them but I want to start looking at options in case. I actually like the tires- quiet on the road, good in dirt and snow, and needless to say they last a long time. I cannot complain about 46k+ miles but I was curious to see what tires you all have replaced them with and what you think? I currently live in the desert and do a lot of highway driving, but go up to the mountains for snowboarding a lot, and I love to go offroad. Open to suggestions...anyone?

I've always been a big fan of the Cooper Discovery AT. They're not cheap, but I can usually get a decent deal on them, as they're made locally to me.

I'd suggest checking out Tire Rack, and do a little window shopping, see what you like, and decide what you're willing to spend

good luck

Exco

I replaced my stock Goodyear Wranglers with BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain tires and I'm very pleased with them. A friend made the same switch on his Ram and I followed his recommendation. The tire dealer, who carries multiple brands, also said he felt BF Goodrich made the best light truck tire and it was what he had on his own truck. The Rugged Terrain have a more aggressive tread than the Wranglers, but are still quiet and the ride is very smooth. No complaints.

Default Replacing Tires for first time- Advice?

I just picked a set of five (5) Michelin LTX AT/2's, 285x70x17, I wanted a tire, better on road, but, still had a little bite off road, they have a good tread pattern, $70 off a set at COSTCO, I know that ain't much, but, all in all, they had the best price for five, mounted and balanced, tax, disposal, $1,399, nobody in my area, northern virginia, could come close, only draw back, no front end alignment at COSTCO, so, I'll have to go back to my old shop, and, I can hear them now, where'd you get those tires!

I also have the LTX A/T 2 Got a 70,000 cover on them I have done just over 30,000 we will see how they hold up as the hills and bends on the Mendocino coast are heavy on tires.Baught mine at Discount Tire also so know as The American tire company great deal, great company to deal with, tire rotation time go into the nearest shop no problems. Been in their different shops up and down the coast Seattle, Portland, N Cal,never had a problem.

Just ordered a set of Falken Rocky Mountain ATS from Discount Tire. Great reviews on them and the price couldn't be beat. Under $240 a tire for 275/65/20 (just over 34").

I like the Mich LTX MS/2 tires, I have them on my F150 as well as on my 2500 Ram. Quiet and smooth so far.
