Has any one heard of Bill's custom intakes.found them on ebay.looks pretty good looks and price.just dont know to much about cai.here is his web site billscustomintakes.com .any info will be nice.also I am looking into putting Flowmaster on my truck.I am looking for a nice rumble and dont want to be setting off alarms.do you think I should go with the 40 OR 44 OR THE 50 .I dont mind some cabin noise also just dont want it to be that bad.I plan on putting cat back system. Thanks
I have a Volant CAI and a single in dual out flowmaster original 40 series and its loud. If you don't want cabin noise go with the 50 series. You will still here it when you get on it but not bad. My 40 series is loud all the time.....period.
Yes the intakes do look real nice they caught my eye.does it really matter that it has the 4" tube.or is that what I got stock.I guess it looks like I will be going with the flowmaster 50.dont want the sound to be to annoying. Thanks for the replys everyone.will the cai add some sound also.
I went to a local muffler shop not to far from my house and this is what he said.that he recommends the Manga Flow exhaust. that it will sound real nice on my truck.I do have the 4.7 in my truck.what does everyone think.like I said I do want a nice rumble .some cabin noise not to loud.he will do it all straight out the back with tips 3"for 550.00.
I just went from a 14" Magnaflow to a Flowmaster 50 series to get rid of interior drone. Mission accomplished!!! The 50 series has a nice throaty rumble, but has about zero interior dron.... couldn't be more happy!
Magnaflow 14" SI/DO, No Resonators, K&N Drop-In Filter, De-badged.
Yeah I have never payed more then $350.00 for a cat pack install with chrome tips out the back. I have had several trucks done here in memphis most charge around 325 to 350 for a complete exhaust install. I have a one in and two out 40 series dumped at the rear axle and it is defentially loud you will want to go with the 50 series.
