Default Exhaust suggestions -need help

I have a 2010 Laramie Crew 4X2 that I use as a daily driver. I have an office job and don't want to draw too much over attention to my truck when I drive by or have to go on an appointment outside of the office. I saw the pics of the OEM muffler cut open after a few months, and was very disappointed that Chrysler would put such a piece of junk on our trucks.
Need some help - this is the first truck that I have owned and first car that I will have swapped the stock exhaust system on. I want something with a little more masculinity than the stock system, but not too loud, especially at lower idle speeds. I don't want any drone at higher speeds. I would like to put on a true dual exhaust system, so I guess I would end up purchasing two mufflers. Questions:
1. What would you suggest?
2. How much should I expect to spend?
3. there is good muffler shop not too far form my house that a friend recommended, but are there any other suggestions in the Dallas Area?

You can search this site for muffler Mods that have video/sound clips with them or you can youtube the same. I think I have settled on the Flowmaster Delta 50 for my truck but I have a different engine than you so the sound could be different. From what I have heard and researched on Flowmasters website the 50 series are a moderate sounding muffler, not in the aggressive category.

I put a 24" mufflex system on my truck (model# DODS24) and it sounds like what you are looking for. The 18" would add a little more sound, but still might be OK for you. I would youtube it to get some sound reference. It uses a Magnaflow muffler, which you will find as being a brand most members recommend. You can get prices online. You could always just buy an 18 or 24 inch muffler and have it welded as you say you have that connection. For the single exhaust, be sure to get a 3" inlet and 3" outlet muffler.

I replaced my stock single in / single out stock muffler with a Magnaflow 22" single in / dual out muffler and had new tailpipes built with some nice brushed aluminum double walled tips put on. Total cost in my area was $400. I like the Magnaflow sound and the 22" muffler isn't obnoxiously loud. I can't speak to MDS related drone but I have none when cruising down the highway.

Not sure about a 10,But you could cut off the resonator then go from there.

You sound like your looking for the same as I am. I want to be able to hear the exhaust some in the cab but not annoy the neighbors. I think I have settled on the Magnaflow 24" Mufflex kit. There are a couple vids of it on youtube. Check it out.

I have an 08 and actually several people have commented and asked me what exhaust it has. Funny cause it's still stock. However I just purchased a Flowmaster Cat-back dual kit even though I like Magnaflow I could not find one of there kits to fit my truck and the shop just wanted way too much to do it. I looked at quite a few videos on YouTube that helped me with my decision. I'll post a review of the system after it arrives and I install it. Good luck !

I would get either a 18" or 22" Magnaflow and have the shop weld it in. DO NOT TAKE THE RESONATORS OUT!!! They sound bad with MDS on. I paid 250 for my muffler, new Y-pipe and the install in OKC
Here's my thread to give you an idea, video and pics
