Default Aftermarket Radio Install

I am looking to upgrade me radio to aftermarket stuff I had in my old car. Anyone know the correct harnesses I need for hookup and retaining my steering wheel controls?
Also, speaker sizes for the doors...i have seen so much conflicting information, I have a set of JL Audios i would really like to use, and was thinking bout purchasing a set of 5 x 7 for the other doors, and the 3.5 for the dash. Any insight or information would be great. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Here's a link to PacAudio's website. Put your truck's info in the Product Search area and see what they have for your truck.

http://www.pac-audio.com/

I am not sure on the speaker sizes. I know my stock MegaCab speakers were 3.5" in the dash, 6X9 in the front doors, 5.25" in the rear doors.

So I went to Crutchfield and looked up your truck. They list 3.5" for the dash, 5.25" for the front doors (with the right adapter you can go to 6.5") and the rear doors look to be the same as the front doors. You do need a shallow mount speaker and I am not sure just how much depth you have but you could measure that easily enough. For some reason, 2 - 5/8" sticks in my head from some other thread on 2011 audio.

Good luck!

3.5" dash speakers and 6X9 in all 4 doors! Try the audio section and see if someone there can help you out!

I'm looking to do an upgrade as well.
I've always gone through Crutchfield because they send the correct harness and detailed installation instructions. Not to mention, the customer service can't be beat.

Default thanks

Thanks for the info. I am using crucified but was finding conflicting info. The y don't have much info on the 2011 I'm pretty sure the doors are all 6 x 9 but the jl audio I have need like 3.75 inches depth. I have also read that the pac adapters had some sort of the delay with the steering wheel controls. There is one by axxes which looks to be better..anyone ever use it?

I use my steering wheel controls with the pacaudio harness and I experience no delay.

Default pac adaptor

Maddog,

there are 2 pac audio adaptors i found on Crutchfield, one for the radio hook up, and one for the steering wheel audio control. However, the radio integration adaptor says it does the steering wheel controls. Did you need both adaptors, or just one?
Do you haappend to know the part numbers you used?
Thanks again
