Default 2004 Dodge Ram window problem

Hey guys,

I purchased a 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab a few months ago, and just recently I was trying to get the snow off my windows and using my master switch, I tried to roll down both rear windows. My driver and passenger, along with the drivers side rear window roll down fine. My passenger side rear window does not work with my master switch, but does manually. Can anyone help me out and tell me what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks a lot!
Chris

I'm sorry Tom. I was trying to put it by what made sense in my head. The "master switch" I was referring to was the drivers door window controls that let me control all 4 windows on my truck. I can roll every one down but the passengers side rear window. However, the occupant sitting in that seat can do it with the switch that is in the back seat. So basically, the passengers side rear window will not roll down with the switches I have on my drivers door. Does this make a little more sense?

Thanks,
Chris

I see now . It could be a defective switch . You may even want to check the wiring in the door jam (hinge area) . You could have a broken wire also .

I have the same truck and the had the same problem. What you need is a new master switch for 100 dollars. Or take your master switch apart which is not hard to do and the solder on the back of the window lock button has cracks in it.Just heat up the solder and its good as new.Takes about 30 minutes.
