Default 98 Headlight Switch Upgrade?

So lately Ive been debating on the famous headlight switch overheating problems with the push pull headlight switch. Havent heard of the newer turn style overheating and causing the burnout problem. Ive decided I would like to try and switch over to the turn style switch. I know that the wiring harnesses are different, and the 98 has a seperate button for the fog lights, but has anyone else done this? Ive searched but am getting cross-eyed from reading. Thanks!

I got a 94 ram with the push pull switch, picked up a turn switch with fog light control from a 99 and I am planning on switching them out. looks like I will have to do a little behind dash fabricating/cutting because the newer switch is larger

Some will flame me for this but i've been using a replacement headlight switch (96 Ram) from AutoZone. I been able to drive with the high beams on. So far no problems.
