Default Offroad Edition springs on normal Ram?

I know the offroad edition rams have a factory 1-2" lift already on them, I was wondering if I could take these springs and leafs and put them in my 1996 dodge ram to gain 1-2" of lift? I cant see why I wouldnt be able to as the only difference is that the offroad edition springs and leafs are taller, but I could be totally wrong with my theory?

If you have an Automotive Spring Shop near you, a place where they advertise re arcing springs, you could consult them, the spring shop near me will make a spring package for you within 3 days, if they don't already have it in stock
they have both coil & leaf springs
they started as just a replacement leaf spring shop for semi trucks & since around this area we have so many old hot rods & desert racers, they expanded

i noticed in your general area, there is http://www.canadaspring.com/ , calling them may get your answers

bigger alignment shops could tell you where to call

I would get my springs re-arched but I kind of want to keep my old springs in case I ever decide to re-sell my truck a lot more people will buy and pay more for a non lifted truck then they will a lifted one even if it is only 1-2" of lift. So if there is no difference except for how stiff they are *hence how they give 1-2" of lift* they should be a direct swap right into my truck then? Also if I was to try and use those springs with 2" spacers and blocks as well would I run into big binding problems with the rest of the stock suspension? If so Ill just stick with the offroad edition springs, rather then trying to go for more lift.

I just mentioned re-arcing, because if the shop has that ability, they they can make or mount any style & type that you may want
they would also know what your particular needs are & can give you reliable information

You might be able to swap them if you really want to, just make sure the width and length from the eye-bushings are the same. Good Luck !

Personally I would not do this swap. I would look into a set of top gun customz progressive rate springs that will both lift your truck and improve ride quality. For the back you should just use a bigger block or if you really want spend the ching a full leaf pack. New shocks will help alot too. We have a saying here in AZ: F#$K The facotry!

I have to agree with Sul7enaz. Go with something aftermarket since it will be better then the factory stuff.

How much would a set of top gunz customs springs cost though? I can respect how it would be most likely better to go with some aftermarket springs, but I also kind of am trying to lift it a little bit on the cheap for the moment seeing as Im still in school. I still have to see what a set of offroad edition springs and leafs would cost over a set of aftermarket springs and leafs as well to see if I can justify buying them.

Best bet would be to call top gun customz and find. out. Personally if I were you I would just level the front first (with some springs) and worry about the rear later. Alot of people think they need an even amount of lift front and back but the front is lower from factory so you need to correct the rake first.
